Obama named 5 best friends among the world summits on his interview with Times. Those friends are U.K,Germany,India,Terkey,Korea's presidents. Those countries have a good relationship with us and also have shared opinions about politic and economic, social problems. Recently Obama mentioned Korea and its matters such as developed economy and ardent people for learning, IT and electronic products at some meetings. I think the relationship with Korea will be more important than before after Kim jung il's death. U.S has an important role to deal with many problems and to maintain the balance of power in East Asia. We don't know what could happen in the near future but I hope U.S can play a large role in any parts wisely.
