Lee Holding Summit in Russia En Route to G20 in France

President Lee Myung-bak flies to Russia on Tuesday afternoon for a bilateral summit, followed by a trip to France to attend this year's G20 summit in Cannes.

During his two-day stay in St. Petersburg, Lee will discuss with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev ways of boosting the strategic cooperative partnership and economic collaboration between the two countries, as well as regional matters involving the North Korean nuclear issue.

The two are also expected to exchange views on a trilateral economic cooperation project that aims to build a pipeline carrying Russian natural gas through North Korea to the South.

On Wednesday, Lee will embark on a three-day visit to France to take part in the G20 Summit in Cannes. He is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the G20 Business Summit, on the eve of the main gathering, on how the corporate world can help rescue the eurozone from its ongoing crisis.

I hope that Russia and Korea will make a more good relationship through this metting. I think that both are involved in many parts(especially political problems)  but they haven't talked about those things much. They have to cooperate to solve many problems surrounding them.
