Lee to Embark on 3-Nation Central Asian Tour


President Lee Myung-bak will embark on a tour this weekend that will take him to Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. According to Cheong Wa Dae on Sunday, Lee will leave for Ulan Bator on Sunday, where he is to hold a one-on-one with his Mongolian counterpart Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.

The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation in energy, resources and health. Lee then heads to Uzbekistan for a two-day visit, where he will sit down with Uzbek President Islam Karimov to discuss ways to develop the two countries' strategic partnership established during Lee’s last trip to Tashkent.

His tour ends in Kazakhstan with a summit with President Nursultan Nazarbayev, whose agenda will likely include energy and economic cooperation.
